Q. I didn’t get an invitation – can I still go?

Showcase is an invitation-only event. If you’d like to be invited please give us your details here. If your request is approved, we’ll send you an invitation.


Q. I got an invitation and I’d like to come. Should I book accommodation now?

You’ll be able to book a room through My Showcase. As ever, we’ve arranged premium accommodation in a wide range of hotels close to the venue. Before you book travel and accommodation, please take a look at our new opening hours and daytime schedule.


Q. I got an invitation email but I won’t be attending. Do I need to let anyone know?

It’d be great if you can let us know either way, to help us keep track of numbers, and to save you from getting unnecessary Showcase-related emails.


Q. I’ve lost my invitation – can you help?

No problem, just email and we’ll resend it.


Q. I’ve missed the deadline, can I still register?

Yes, we’ll still try to accommodate you, even if you missed the deadline. Please register as soon as possible. However, due to the number of people already registered we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to allocate you a booth, get you into your preferred hotel, or offer you a place at our evening events.

Q. What is My Showcase?

My Showcase is your personalized area where you can register for the event, manage your profile and get news updates from us. You can log in at any time to change your preferences and bookings, giving you complete control of your Showcase experience.

Q. How do I log in to My Showcase?

When you’ve accepted your Showcase invitation, you’ll be asked to create login details using your email address and a password of your choice.

Q. I’ve forgotten my password. Can you send me a new one?

Sure, no problem – just click on the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the login screen and we’ll send you a new one.

Q. What can I do in My Showcase?

You can book your accommodation and booths, subscribe to premiere sessions and events, and amend your preferences and personal details. We’ll send you updates via My Showcase so you don’t miss any news about the event.

Q. Where do I complete my Showcase registration?

Just head to your My Showcase. To get access to your full profile you need to complete every step under ‘BBC Worldwide Showcase Registration’ (all the fields on the form are mandatory).

Q. How do I know when I’ve completed my registration for Showcase?

When you’ve completed the mandatory steps, your profile status will change from INVITED to REGISTERED.

Q. Can I change my details after I’ve submitted my registration?

Yes, you can log in to My Showcase at any time to amend your registration form.

Q. How do I cancel my registration for Showcase?

Just log into My Showcase and click ‘I can no longer attend’. This helps us keep track of numbers and also stops you getting any unnecessary Showcase-related messages.

Q. I can’t make it to Showcase. Can a colleague take my place?

If you’d like a colleague to take your place you need to log into My Showcase, click ‘Give my place to’ and enter their details. Once they’ve been approved to attend, they’ll get an invitation to register and take your booth and evening ticket if applicable.

Q. I’m a PA. Can I register on behalf of my manager?

Yes. Please email and ask for your email to be added to your manager’s profile. You’ll then receive a copy of all future communications to your manager.

Q. How do I book my accommodation in Liverpool?

Once you’ve registered, you’ll be able to go into My Showcase and follow a link to book accommodation through Access Bookings, our preferred supplier. You’ll need to provide debit or credit card details when you book – if you need more information about payment terms and conditions you can email:

Q. Can I amend my hotel booking?

Yes, you’ll need to email as the hotels won’t accept changes direct from guests. Please make sure to check the cancellation date under Hotel Policies when you book your hotel.

Q. When will I get confirmation of my booking?

Hotel confirmations will be sent directly to you within 24 hours of making the booking. Please check the cancellation and amendment conditions specified on your hotel confirmation.

Q. I’ve forgotten my password to log into my hotel booking. Can I reset it?

Please email and they’ll send you a new one.

Q. Can I book a group of my colleagues into the same hotel?

Yes, on the hotel booking system you can choose the number of rooms you require – you’ll then need to enter individual guest names and email addresses.

Accommodation – WorldPay

To make your booking safe and secure, Access Bookings use WorldPay, a Secure Payment Gateway. All card details are processed in line with PCI DSS security standards.

Q: Will my card be charged up front?

No, this year you will be required to settle the payment for your room at the hotel. However, your booking is guaranteed to the payment card that is supplied at the time of booking. In the event of a late cancellation, no show or if your stay incurs any incidental charges– these will be billed to the card you used to guarantee your reservation.

Q: How are my card details collected?

Your card details are collected at the time of booking and are stored securely by Worldpay FuturePay – a mechanism which enables your card details to be collected securely and prevents the need for immediate payment.

Q: Are my card details secure?

Yes, all card details are processed in line with PCI DSS security standards and any charges which may fall due are made through an encrypted web interface. Your card details are 100% secure and are not visible at any time.

Q: What cards do you accept?

Access Bookings accept all major credit and debit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, Delta, JCB and Maestro. Security and fraud protection is provided by WorldPay.

Q: What are FuturePay Agreements?

FuturePay agreements are online arrangements similar to Standing Orders and Direct Debits, but funds can also be debited from your debit or credit card.

Q: What is a FuturePay Agreement ID?

An agreement ID is the numerical reference given to a FuturePay agreement. You can find your agreement ID on the confirmation email sent to you when your agreement was first created (this email also contains your username and password for our Shopper Management System), or on the transaction confirmation email, which is generated when a payment is debited from your card.

Q: How long will WorldPay keep my card details for?

Your card details will be stored securely by Worldpay until 21st March 2018, by which time Access Bookings Ltd will have fully reconciled all payments made to, or requested by the hotel. You will receive a confirmation email advising that the FuturePay agreement has ended.

Q: Can I change the card that I guaranteed my reservation with?

Yes, please contact a member of the Access Events Team on and they can guide you through the process.

Q: Can I cancel or make changes?

Yes, you’ll need to email the Access Events Team as the hotels won’t accept changes direct from guests. Please make sure to check the cancellation date under Hotel Policies when you book your hotel. If you cancel your booking with the hotel outside of the cancellation policy, you’ll be charged. We’ll do our best to reallocate the rooms to avoid this where we can.

Q. What’s the best route from London to Liverpool?

Your best option is to go via train to Liverpool Lime Street, which is the closest station to the ACC. There are direct trains to Liverpool Lime Street from London Euston every hour and they take just over two hours. You can get more information on the National Rail website.

Q. How do I get from Liverpool Lime Street Station to the ACC?

The best option is to go via taxi. As you get off the train at Lime Street, head left towards the exit at the side of the station and you’ll find a taxi rank. Taxis to hotels and the ACC cost around £5-6.

Q. How do I get from Manchester Airport to Liverpool?

You can find more information about travelling to and from Manchester Airport by visiting their website. There are plenty of taxis available at the airport; you’ll find a taxi rank outside the entrance to every terminal. The journey to Liverpool city centre is 40 miles; it takes roughly an hour and costs around £65. (Street Cars: 0161 228 7878)

Q. How do I get from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the ACC?

You can visit the Liverpool John Lennon Airport website for more information about travelling to and from the city centre. There’s a taxi rank at the entrance to every terminal, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a taxi. The journey to the ACC is around 9 miles – that’s roughly a 25-minute drive and it costs about £20. (ComCab: 0151 298 2222)

Q. When will I get the daytime programme of events?

We’re working hard planning premieres and forums that’ll give you valuable insights into our new content. Please sign into your My Showcase account to view this year’s programme of events. We’ll be adding more sessions and information once they are confirmed.

Q. What evening events are planned for Showcase?

As ever, there’ll be some stunning events taking place in and around the ACC during Showcase. Attendance will be by invitation only – we’ll send out information and invitations in plenty of time.

Q. Is there free Wi-Fi available at the ACC?

Yes, you can access free wifi throughout the ACC. Login details will be displayed at the venue.


Q. Can I smoke in the ACC?

The ACC has a strict no-smoking policy, but there are designated smoking areas outside the building.


Q. Can I get lunch and refreshments at the venue?

Yes, as always there’ll be a wide range of complimentary lunch and refreshments at the ACC throughout the event.


Q. Is there an ATM machine on site?

Yes, there’s a cash machine inside the Galleria.


Q. Can I park at the venue?

Yes, there’s a multi-storey car park at the ACC; spaces are charged at an hourly rate. You can get more information here.


Q. Where’s the taxi drop-off point at the ACC?

There’s a taxi rank at the back of the venue, by the river entrance.

Q. How can I screen content at Showcase? 

There are three ways to screen content:

1)   Pre-book a booth for specific slots before the event, via My Showcase.

2)   Book a short stay at a booth in person at the venue. You can book 1-2 hour sessions.

3)   You can screen on an iPad in a dedicated lounge space near the screening booths.


Q. How do I book my screening preference?
