Q. I didn’t get an invitation – can I still attend?Showcase is an invitation only event. If you’d like to be invited please give us your details here. Then, if your request is approved, we’ll send you an invitation.
Q. I got an invitation and would like to attend. Should I book accommodation now?Yes, you can do that through your My Showcase profile. As ever, we’ve found accommodation for you in a wide range of hotels close to the venue. Before you book travel and accommodation, please take a look at our new opening hours and daytime schedule.
Q. I got an invitation but I won’t be attending. Do I need to let anyone know?
It would be great if you can let us know either way, to help us keep track of numbers, and also to save you from getting Showcase-related emails you don’t need to see.
Q. I’ve lost my invitation – can you help?

Q. What is My Showcase?
My Showcase is your personalised area where you can register for the event, manage your profile and get news updates from us. You can log in at any time to change your preferences and bookings, giving you complete control of your Showcase experience.
Q. How do I log in to My Showcase?
When you’ve accepted your Showcase invitation, you’ll be asked to create login details using your email address and a password of your choice.
Q. I’ve forgotten my password. Can you send me a new one?
Sure, no problem – just click on the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the login screen and we’ll send you a new one.
Q. What can I do in My Showcase?
You can book your accommodation and booths, subscribe to premiere sessions and events, and change your preferences and personal details. We’ll send you updates via My Showcase so you don’t miss any news about the event.
Q. Where do I complete my Showcase registration?
Just head to your My Showcase area. To get access to your full profile you need to complete every step under ‘BBC Worldwide Showcase Registration’ (all the fields on the form are mandatory).
Q. How do I know when I’ve completed my registration for Showcase?
When you’ve completed the mandatory steps, your profile status will change from INVITED to REGISTERED.
Q. Can I change my details after I’ve submitted my registration?
Yes, you can log in to My Showcase at any time to edit your registration form.
Q. How do I cancel my registration for Showcase?
Just log in to My Showcase and click ‘I can no longer attend’. This helps us keep track of numbers and also stops you getting any Showcase related messages you don’t need to see.
Q. I can no longer attend Showcase. Can my colleague take my place?
If you’d like a colleague to take your place you need to log in to My Showcase, click ‘Give my place to’ and enter their details. Once they’ve been approved to attend, they’ll get an invitation to register and take the previous delegate’s booth and evening ticket if applicable.
Q. I’m a PA. Can I register on behalf of my manager?
Sure, just email firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for your email address to be added to your manager’s profile. You’ll then get all future messages on behalf of your manager.

Q. How do I book my accommodation in Liverpool?
Once you’ve got your invitation and registered, you’ll be able to go into My Showcase and follow a link to book accommodation through Access Bookings.
You’ll need to give debit or credit card details when you book – if you need more information about payment terms and conditions you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. Can I change my hotel booking?
Yes, you’ll need to email email@example.com as the hotels won’t accept changes direct from guests. Please check the cancellation date under Hotel Policies when you book your hotel.
Q. When will I get confirmation of my booking?
Hotel confirmations will be sent directly to you within 24 hours of making the booking. Please check the cancellation and amendment conditions specified on your hotel confirmation.
Q. I have forgotten my password to log in to my hotel booking, how can I reset it?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and they’ll send you a new one.
Q. Can I book a group of my colleagues into the same hotel?
Yes, on the hotel booking system you can choose the number of rooms you need and enter individual guest names and email addresses.
Accommodation – WorldPay
To make your booking secure, Access Bookings use WorldPay, a Secure Payment Gateway. All card details are processed in line with PCI DSS security standards.
Q: Will my card be charged up front?
Yes, rooms are paid for when you book to make sure you get the best possible rates. Any refunds following cancellation or changes are processed through the encrypted web interface, so your details stay completely protected.
Q: Is my booking secure?
Yes. WorldPay is the leading secure online credit or debit card processor. Your credit card details will be completely secure.
Q: What cards do you accept?
Access Bookings accept all major credit and debit cards, including MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, Delta, JCB and Maestro. Security and fraud protection is provided by WorldPay.
Q: Can I cancel or make changes?
Yes, you’ll need to email email@example.com as the hotels won’t accept amendments direct from guests. Please make sure to check the cancellation date under Hotel Policies when you book your hotel. If you cancel your booking with the hotel outside of the cancellation policy, you still be charged. We will do our best to reallocate the rooms to avoid this where we can.
Q. What’s the best route from London to Liverpool?
Your best option is to go via train to Liverpool Lime Street, which is the closest station to the ACC. There are direct trains to Liverpool Lime Street from London Euston every hour and they take just over two hours. You can get more information at the National Rail website.
Q. How do I get from Liverpool Lime Street Station to the ACC?
The best option is to go via taxi. As you get off the train at Lime Street, head left towards the exit at the side of the station and you’ll find a taxi rank. Taxis to hotels and the ACC cost around £5/6.

Q. How do I get from Manchester Airport to Liverpool?
You can find more information about travelling to and from Manchester Airport by visiting their website. There are plenty of taxis available at the airport – you’ll find a taxi rank outside the entrance to every terminal. The journey to Liverpool city centre is 40 miles; it takes roughly an hour and costs around £65. (Street Cars: 0161 228 7878)
Q. How do I get from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the ACC?
You can visit the Liverpool John Lennon Airport website for more information about travelling to and from the city centre. There’s a taxi rank at the entrance to every terminal, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a taxi. The journey to the ACC is around 9 miles – that’s roughly a 25-minute drive and it costs about £20. (ComCab: 0151 298 2222)

Q. When will I receive the daytime programme of events?
We’re working hard planning premieres and forums that will give you valuable insights into our new content. Please sign in to your My Showcase account to view this year's Programme of Events. We'll add more sessions and information when they're confirmed.
Q. What evening events are planned for Showcase?
As ever, there will be some stunning events taking place in and around the ACC during Showcase. Attendance will be by invitation only – we’ll send out information and invitations in plenty of time.

Q. Is there free Wi-Fi available at the ACC?
Yes, you can access free Wi-Fi throughout the ACC. Login details will be displayed at the venue.
Q. Can I smoke in the ACC?
The ACC has a strict no-smoking policy, but there are designated smoking areas outside the building.
Q. Can I get food and drinks at the venue?
Yes, as always there’ll be a wide range of free food and drink options at the ACC throughout the event.
Q. Is there an ATM machine on site?
Yes, you can find it towards the back of the building at the riverside entrance on the lower ground floor.
Q. Can I park at the venue?
Yes, there’s a multi-storey car park at the ACC. Spaces are charged at an hourly rate. You can get more information here.

Q. How can I screen content at Showcase?
There are three ways to screen content:
1) Pre-book a booth for specific slots before the event, via My Showcase.
2) Book a short stay at a booth in person at the venue. You can book 1-2 hour sessions.
3) You can screen on an iPad in a dedicated lounge space near the screening booths.
Q. How do I book my screening preference?

Q. I haven’t had an invitation to the evening events. Can I still come?
Showcase evening events are invitation only. Unfortunately, limited capacity means we can only offer a restricted number of tickets. The Box office will reopen on Monday and Tuesday at 4.30pm and any uncollected tickets will be re-allocated.
Q. What should I do if I can’t go to the evening event?
If you can’t go, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or let your BBC contact know so they can inform the Box Office. If you’re already onsite but need to leave the event, please return your ticket to the Box Office and email your BBC contact.
Q. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
We can’t transfer evening tickets, sorry. You’ll need your registration badge, photo ID and ticket to gain entry.
Q. When is the RSVP deadline?
RSVP deadline is 10 February. Unfortunately, if you respond after this date your invitation won’t be valid.
Q. I’ve RSVP’d after the deadline, can I still turn up?
We can’t accept your RSVP after the deadline. Please visit the Box Office at the ACC for more information about tickets.
Q. When will I get my ticket?
All tickets for evening events need to be collected from the Box Office – on the ground floor – before 3.30pm. You’ll need to bring your registration badge and ticket. If you’ve collected your ticket but can no longer make it, please let someone at the Box Office know.
You don’t need a ticket for the Sunday evening event. Please see your invitation for all details
Q. What happens if I lose my ticket?
If you lose your ticket, please let the staff at the Box Office know ASAP.
Q. Will I need to pay for my meal and drinks?
No. It’s all on us.
Q. What’s the dress code for the evening events?
The dress code is still to be confirmed. We’ll send you details nearer the time.
Q. Is the evening event going to be filmed?
Yes, the Monday and Tuesday night events will be filmed for internal use after Showcase.
Q. Is transport provided to/from the ACC?
We can’t provide transport to and from the ACC, sorry. Your hotel staff should be able to help with transport queries. Taxis are very frequent in Liverpool. One recommended local taxi company is ComCab, Telephone: +44 (0) 151 298 2222
Q. Will I be allowed in and out of the ACC Arena to smoke?
Yes, there’s a smoking area outside the ACC Arena. To guarantee access to and from the Arena, you’ll need to show your ticket and Showcase badge to security.
Q. I couldn’t get a ticket for the evening events. Do you have any suggestions about what I can do in Liverpool?
